Journey Boxes – Stonehouse

As part of the Make Your Way project by the Clyde and Avon Valley Partnership, local residents took part in a free arts workshop which looked to record their experience of the landscape through words, trail collecting, watercolour and drawings.

Exploring routes from Stonehouse Memorial Park near the river, the workshop offered people the chance to produce a collection of artworks that would be contained in their own personal journey box.
The workshop was organised and designed by artists Kate McAllan and Martyn McKenzie who have been taking part in a month long arts residency in Stonehouse. The purpose of their residence is ultimately to propose artworks which may be installed in routes throughout the
community.
